If your old mobile is really old and has almost no value then you
could trade them in when getting a new phone from some dealers.

CPW used to give something like Ł10 for handset and Ł10 for manual.

Some people said these cronky old phones go to the third world.
But somehow I doubt that.

Does anyone know where these trade-ins really go?

Most get refurbed and shipped abroad as I understand it.

Some get used to replace other mobiles when you take yours back in for repair
(see the young lad who
was arrested a couple of years back for using a stolen mobile that CPW had
given him whilst his new
phone was in for repair).

Some get refurb and sold on the UK market (Virgin sell refurbed phones), some
end up in land fill.

I was thinking more of boxing up 5 and getting maybe Ł25 for the lot off
some imaginary firm ;) cannot be arsed with getting hassle if the battery
isnt aok on one sold on ebay.
