Hi all

Is anyone using Orange WAP over GPRS on a PDA.?

I have an XDA2 (unlocked). I am able to connect to Orange GPRS using Access
Point orangeinternet. I have followed the settings gien on the site
http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html

This works fine and I can surf or get email from my Blueyonder account. ( I
am still unable to send email, that is another problem).

But with WAP on GPRS, while connection seems to be established I am unable
to surf any page including http://orange.multimedia/ nor get any email. THE
access point for WAP is orangewap. I would be glad if anyone has Orange
WAP on GPRS successfully running able to surf and email, on a PDA like
XDA-2.

Thanks

To send e-mail you should set the outgoing server to smtp.orange.net

You need smtp.orange.net to send outgoing mail I guess

Youre probably still using O2s DNS servers. Set up your connection with
Oranges DNS servers or automatically configure.

For what its worth, my SPV E100 is set to use the Orange GPRS Internet
data connection for WAP too (so that I can use All-Locations GPRS Traffic
Counter to monitor all traffic and it definately works.
