GSM WORLD

Im currently on O2 but have finished my contract and am awful tempted to
jump ship to Orange because of their current double minutes promo. Does
anyone know if the 6230 on Orange is branded? Im not referring to the phone
itself, I know they like to hide a logo on the back, Im thinking more the
software, my friend got the same phone on Voda and its got an ugly Live logo
in the bottom right of the screen.

Also would anyone recommend that I not jump ship? Ive always had good
service in general from O2 but the bill are just getting too much for this
student to handle! Obviously if Im going to be getting an inferior service
Id have to think again though.

Ive got an orange 6230, its got an orange branded logo on the back, a
couple of orange wallpapers/screensavers, an orange startup and shutdown
logo (that you cant easily get rid of) and an orange softkey, which you can
change easily from within the menus on the phone.

I just unlocked it for free with the aid of info from this newsgroup and the
miracle that is the internet.


Ive no experience of O2, I was getting pissed off with orange after about 4
years and threatened to leave which is when they became much friendlier.

I left it the way it was, the destructions say you only have to change it if
the codes it gives you dont work.
