Our eldest is thinking of a 6600 - any feedback please?

I was keen on getting one of these until I saw a mate who had one - felt
cheap and plastic and didnt have the feel of a good handset.

Not only is it big and ugly it must have one of the wrorse Bluetooth
software applications of all phones. If you are thinking of using
Bluetooth with this phone then dont even think of getting it. Before
people reply to this message and tell me that their Bluetooth works
with their 6600, yes I do understand that........However some
Bluetooth units will work with the 6600 and some wont. Bluetooth
really is supposed to be universal and I doubt whether the 6600 can
claim to be fully universal with most Bluetooth devices. Avoid this
phone.

Ive been using one for just over a month and am very happy with it. Zips
along nicely. The mail client works well, as does the Opera web broswer.
Have installed a few extra apps on it too.

why are you guys slagging off the 6600?! Ive had one for 2 months now
and its a top notch phone! Ive got a HDW-3 bt headset which works
perfect, a cheap bt dongle off ebay which works first time no probs!
Stick a memory card in and you can install loads of apps! Isnt too
much bigger than other phones, but considering the size of the screen
it doesnt bother me if its a little chunky! battery life, i get
around 3 days or so with moderate use.
