As many on this newsgroup have pointed out, there are currently a few NEC
808s flying around on Ebay. What puzzles me is, some are being sold
complete with Three to Go Sim cards. This one plucked at random:

Arent these sim cards registered to the person who bought the handset in
the first place? Therefore, if you pass it on complete any calls made will
come out of the original owners bank account?? Surely Im missing something
:-)

And why has someone bid Ł62 + Ł5 P&P for something you can get brand
new for under twenty quid?

I guess theyre hoping to make free calls on the sellers account!

I gave up being amazed at eBay when I saw people bidding thirty quid for
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix prior to publication, when you
could get the thing down Tesco for about Ł11 the day after it was published.

Sadly these lazy people have all but ruined ebay.

You used to be able to get some pretty decent computers and other things
cheap on there (Like the computer I am using now which is nearly 2 years
old). Now computers on ebay cost more than PC World its a crying shame.
(with the exception of old p2s etc which you can pick up for around Ł30
good for looking impressive with those who know no better).

Not if you are buying obsolete or obscure stuff, or are selling.
