I have never had a real contract mobile. Me and the missus moved from
Orange B&R to OVP Virgin and been there ever since. We have low call
needs ! My youngun is on PAYG (Virgin) and wants a new cool phone.
In looking through Reestits site and direct links it seems as if it may
work out cheaper to get the phone she wants on contract rather than PAYG.

But a couple of simple things im not sure on

If I get the phone on an Orange contact can I simply swap the sim into
my phone and put a PAYG sim in the new phone ? If I get it on another
network will that still be ok - assuming my phone is unlocked ?

Also at the end of the contract (12 mo) can I simply cancel and keep the
phone and put a PAYG sim in there.

Thanks for any help

You can do, but PAYG credit is expensive, youd be better off actually using
the contract.

A friend was on OVP Virgin, do what he did, call OCR, 0800 079 2288
and ask to have your OVP Virgin upgraded to Select 120+30text
at 15quid a month, for an additional 30quid they gave him a top Nokia 6230.

Tell them you are thinking of porting to 3 VT500 with a top LG8200 inc,
on a half price deal at 12.50 a month.
