Does anyone know how do delete tescos contacts that are pre-loaded on the
SIM ?

If you delete them they reappear after switching the phone off/on.
If you dont switch the phone off/on, you get a SIM not ready message.

You cant even edit them so that they start with a letter Z and so appear at
the end.

I can see why Tesco marketing have done this, but 16 unwanted contacts that
you cant delete is annoying

The phone is a Nokia 1100.

If the phone memory is used, scrolling through the contacts still lists the
contacts in SIM memory and then lists those in the phone memory.
So it looks like Tesco had already though of that.

But I also have an old 3310, so I will try it to see if it is phone related.

Im not sure about the 1100, but cant you select phone only or sim only
memory like I used to on some of the older Nokias? I could have both or one
or the other. Just a thought.

If you cant they are just going to be there. They will be embedded in the
SIM the same as all PAYG SIMS.

I havent tried due to the extortionate rates of the 118 services, but
is it possible that they could have remapped it to their preferred 118xxx
supplier at the exchange?
