Its still the best thing since sliced bread for us, but does anyone know if
you can change from PUFFL 200 minutes off-peak to 50 minutes peak time
without incurring line rental / charges?

best Jon

I doubt you can change tariff. Remember the 50 peak time minutes are
to o2 mobiles only. If you call other mobiles, the charge is
something like 40p/minute.

50 minutes peak time, to landlines and O2 (then Cellnet), used to be
the alternative to 200 mins off peak for PUFFL. You could choose
whichever tariff you wanted. I dont see any reason why they
shouldnt make the change but youll probably have to call customer
services to find out. They might not know what PUFFL is so it might
take a bit of explaining - Id ask for written confirmation that you
will get the 50 minutes rental free as an alternative to the 200
minutes you get off-peak now.

Agree with you on the sliced bread metaphor. I had the All Time 50
option myself. I did at one time ask the customer services if it was
possible to swap tariffs within the original options. The answer was
No! The option you chose upon registration is also For Life
