Motorola Razr V3
Mobile Phonetools 3.25b

Ive got a voicemail which is saved for 7 days but which Id like to
transfer to my PC. I could use a microphone and the speakerphone, but
the quality is poor. I am not subscribed to Vodafone Mail (and if I do
they wipe existing voicemails apparently so thats a non-starter for
now).

Any other ideas? Surely with all this technology, it must be possible!

TIA
Mark

If the phone has as standard earphone socket for its earphones (if it
has any) you could use a phono cable and plug it into the Line In
socket on your soundcard....but I doubt it has a standard earphone
socket some how :op....

If your phone has a sound recorder on it which can record what it is
playing (internally) as well as record external sounds via the mic
then you could create a sound file of it then transfer it to your
PC....

Thanks. Unfortunately theres no earphone socket on the Razr. I can use
the voice recorder to record the message but then its not transferable
to the PC and theres nothing you can do with voice notes except IFAICT
play and delete them. So Im kind of stuck again. :(

I use Vodafone email and voice-mail messages on my mobile phone are
sent to my email address as wav. file attachments which I download and
save on Outlook Express.

Play it through a bleutooth loudspeaker or car kit.

A bluetooth loudspeaker? Is there not a way to achieve my goal without
having to invest in more technology?

You could make a conference call from your mobile to your voicemail and
at the same time to another phone with recording capabilities - for
example, if someone you know has vodafone mail, the steps might be:

Call your voicemail
put the call on hold
Call the phone with Vodafone mail, making sure it goes to answerphone
join the two together
Play your message when vodafone mail starts recording

Its complex, but it might work!

Steve.
