GSM WORLD

i would like to backup the SMS messages on my NEC e616v phone as the
inbox is now full up, and i would like to save the messages as its kind
of like a diary of what ive been up to over the last year or so. the
problem is the transfer software that comes with the phone doesnt seem
to have an option for backing up the SMS messages.

there is a menu option on the phone to copy messages to the memory card
on the phone, but this option always appears to be greyed out and not
selectable.

anyone know a way of doing this?
