Hi

trying to find the locations of mobile phones masts in the Edinburgh area.
Tried using http://www.sitefinder.radio.gov.uk/ but you need to know where
youre looking before you start. Anyone know of a better source of info?

TIA

ids...

All you need to know is the area or post code. I cant see why you wouldnt
know that, if you dont know the area why would you need to know about phone
masts?
That site does give very accurate info.

Its a swine to use. The sites dont show if you zoom out as far as
the typical coverage of a base station.

I can think of lots of reasons.

You are joking! Out of date, often incorrect and not corrected for
years. Its terrible.

The old O2 coverage maps showed how it can be done (the new ones are
not as good: dont seem to show base station locations any more).

Why couldnt sitefinder have licensed that instead of wasting public
money developing a vastly inferior equivalent?

It is pretty obvious that O2 removed base station locations from late 2001
onwards...

Shame but true.

Of rather limited use to Joe Public, though.

who no doubt all have phones... Which are now operating at a slightly higher
power level when held next to their heads for phone calls.
