Hi All

Have just noticed that T-Mobile are now offering unlimited Web n Walk data.

Does anyone know how this effects existing subscribers who have subscribed
to the 40MB tarrif.

Do we get the unlimited?

No.

To get the Unlimited. You can pay Ł6.50 per month to get the bundle
added I believe, you may need to switch to their Flext tarrif and add
the bundle, but this, in general, is a better deal (minutes, texts +
data) than plain WnW. However note theres a number of restrictions
on the unlimited WnW, including no modem usage (ie. cant connect your
phone to your laptop to get internet access).

Note also that youre probably getting something like 25% or 50% off
your WnW plan if you signed up during the discount period. Switching
will lose this, so the Flext+WnW bundle might end up costing more.

Note also its a one way transition - move out of normal WnW and
youll never get back, its ringfenced.

Personally I dont use my 40MB each month, and Ive not exceeded my 200
minutes per month but I do occasionally use my laptop, so Im happy with
WnW 200 at Ł16 per month (half price with Self Serve).

Its Ł7.50 including VAT for the consumer version. There is a
professional version which people have had mixed results adding to an
existing tariff that is Ł8.50 not including VAT.

The pro version doesnt has fewer restrictions but does prohibit VOIP
and messaging over internet protocol which appears to rather
ridiculously mean IM.

The consumer version bizarrely doesnt have an IM ban.

Ahh, thanks for the correction. I knew of the Ł1 + VAT difference
between the two versions, but obviously I went the wrong way.

As for the Pro version. Ive not kept up to date - but when it first
appeared, there was some mention of having to have a business account,
not being able to switch to business without taking a new 18 month
contract (well, just resetting the minimum date to 18 months time). Im
not sure how it panned out now that its been going a while.

Some people have been told that it is business only or that the only
thing supporting it is the laptop card.

There is mention of the pro bundle in T-mobile literature and it
doesnt mention any restrictions.

Others have had no problems adding it to an existing tariff. I have a
SIM only deal which has had it added after CS briefly went away to
confirm that it could be added.
