guys,

I have a nokia mobile I have used with a vodafone SIM card for a while
in uk. then I stayed in the netherlands for a year, and now my old
vodafone card is dead (havent used it for too long I guess). So Im
back in UK, could you please suggest a cheap SIM card (Im going to use
this mobile very little and only for domestic call), and how much is it
to buy the card? also (and sorry for the ignorance here....) can I buy
any sim card I like or is there any compatibility issue with what Ive
used before?

thanks a lot!

We need to know the model number - some of the older ones arent dual band
and therefore *may* restrict your choice of network.

Very little!

Well, the good old Nokia site doesnt say whether its dual band, but Im
sure it is.

It *may* be locked to Vodafone, so if it is, go to
http://www.trycktill.com/eng/unlock swe.asp
Click on the Union Jack and then follow the instructions (carefully) to
unlock it.

Then go to
https://www.easymobile.com/selfcare/servlet/Signup?product=PRE PAID
and buy a sim card for Ł1 (yes - one pound) and get an extra Ł10 free
In the box that says Ive been recommended by, enter my number (07962 470
972) and we both get another Ł5 credit
This offer ends on Wednesday, so, be quick!!

HTH

Yes, it is dual band - I had one. Its a very good little phone.

But first, try inserting your new SIM - if its not locked, itll work,
if it IS locked, THEN you can try unlocking it.

Hi,

The Vodafone Pay As You Talk number that you were using would have been
recycled for non-use. If you dont make a chargeable call after three
months (or 90 days) the number falls into a semi-quarantine state. You
then have a further 90 days to top up the mobile and make a chargeable
before it falls into quarantine where the number is recycled for
another user and any calling credit lost.

You can pick up a free SIM card from Vodafone on their UK website at
the moment at the below link. Vodafone are currently offering a feature
called Free Weekends. If you spend Ł5 during the week then this will
give you free calls and texts over the weekend.

http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/Vodafone-SIM-Packs.htm

As long as the mobile has been unlocked then it should be possible to
use any SIM card you want with it. I take it if you were using a
Netherlands SIM while overseas that this is successfully unlocked / not
locked to begin with, so no problems there.

Any other questions then please let me know.
