Only thing I can fathom is that its some form of security test applied in
some manner; do you use a GPRS 3g data-card?

Could it be the age-verification process to allow you to look at
restricted content?

Thats probably it - Vodafones net nanny which seems to block any site
they havent cached locally themselves. Very awkward when I first had a
card whth them - at least T-Mobile dont start with a block.

Ethically speaking its probably a good way of doing things though, not that
too many teenagers I know have gprs data-cards, but there you go.

The Voda adult block works by string searching the data for pattern
matches taken from a blacklist of porno websites.

You can get a match if you run enough binary data over the
connection, e.g. use a VPN, or download large graphics. I get the
block if I download certain satellite weather images.

One has to go to the account options in ones website account and get
it unblocked, for about Ł1. Then, all data will pass through.

What a WASP test is, I havent got a clue. Google turns up load of
hits though, e.g.
