I noticed three days ago that I was not getting any signal on my K750 in my
house yet it appeared fine else where.

I phone Orange to be informed that there was a mast down in the area, it
failed on the 10th Oct, was supposed to be repaired on 15th Oct, I phoned
20th Oct and it still hadnt been repaired. They also said another mast was
down in the area and had been since July although this was not directly
affecting my reception.

Its beginning to be inconvenient now. If they take months to repair the
mast it will be unacceptable. As I see it Im paying Ł30 a month for a
service I cant receive in a location I spend the majority of my time.

Does anyone have any experience of claiming service plan, or part of,
payments from a service provider, especially Orange, while the service is
derogated due to Network Outages?

Cheers,

Doug.

There are clauses like this in the T&Cs, you should not have a problem
claiming some compensation for your loss of service.

What clauses are these?

Orange dont guarantee coverage anywhere, and to my knowledge they dont
give compensation. The OP may get a goodwill gesture if a rep is
feeling happy that day, but they arent guaranteed anything.. Anything
they do receive will be very dependent on handset activity over the
period where its claimed there is no service.

There used to be something along the lines of loss of service for 3 or
more consecutive days but having read them again just now it seems that
the OP is not entitled to compensation, but might get some anyway.

Im sorry, Im not quite with you?

You seem to be suggesting any network actually enjoys having active
service-affecting faults on its network infrastructure?

Regards

Jon.

I suppose it could be possible if you are a French company selling to
the English ;-)

BTW tomorrow is the anniversary of Agincourt. I bet old Henry V could
have sorted Orange out :-D
