If I get a 3 PAYG sim, can I use it in a Samsung D900 (Unlocked) to access
everything except the 3G services that the phone is not capable of....?
Im sick of Orange and want to sample 3 before I decide to take them up fully
as my new provider.....

Thanks Dave

3 pay as you go SIMs from ebay or from the 3 website dont need to be
used in a 3G phone so that will be fine. Your phone will just use the
2G network (which is provided by orange).

One thing 3 wont do is send out settings for you to use the internet
as its not a 3G phone that they support; but you can of course input
these manually should you want to.

I doubt it, I just tried my 3 sim in a 2G phone, it said Sim Rejected.

3 only own the 3g part of their network, for 2G they piggyback on the
orange network, if youre always going to be using the 2G part of the
network then youll be costing them money because youre roaming.

3 only supply none-backwards compatible USIMs, this means that the sim
cards will only work in a 3G handset. Other networks like Vodafone and
Orange also supply USIMs but theyre backwards compatible, which means
if the USIM is put into a none 3G handset then it will work as an old
fashioned SIM.

Its a very long time since, but there used to be talk of USIMs being
put in a 2G phone could damage it, and in the T&Cs for 3 it still says
they wont be responsible if you damage your phone in this way.

Hope this helps, xCx

I very much doubt if it will work in a 6210

Not tried one in the phones above, but I have in a Nokia 3220,
Its safe to say they will Not work in 90% of 2g phones.

Of course when 3 find out, expect to be cut off
as you have broken their T&Cs
