Im looking at a new contract with Orange (Ł30 pm for 200 mins +500 txts)
where I get a free T610.

Are there any potential problems if I just use the new sim in my old handset
and sell the T610?

Just got a GX20 past few weeks and sold it straight on, theyre not really
interested as long as you pay your line rental and not report it stolen :-)

OK thanks.

Um, What happens if the new owner has it stolen? Would he ask me to contact
Orange to block it?
Or what if I get my old (not from Orange) handset with the new Orange sim in
it stolen? Would Orange agree to block it?

Is this just in the hope of getting a better price or is there another
reason?

and what about activating or registering? Do I do this with the T610 or the
old phone I want to use?

What you do is:

1. get the phone unlocked.
2. There is no registering of the phone to do
3. Sell it.
4. Having sold it, absolve yourself for any responsibility for it.
5. Keep paying your mobile bill.
6. Enjoy the money you made doing 2.
