Does anyone know if Nokia are ever likely to release a new phone that
has the same physical connections as the 6310/6310 that could then use
their car kit mounts ?

6600? Wouldnt fit the car thing but why would that matter so much,,,

I doubt it as the 6600 is the technical successor to the 6310i (which
wouldnt surprise me if it was due for discontinuation).

But the orginal poster specifically asked for one that works with the car
kit. So you havent really answered him at all. What was the point of the
reply?

Whats the point in Nokia selling a phone to use the same car kit as an old
one? They want to sell new car kits. As for the 6600 you can get a nice
bluetooth handsfree installed with music mute and it has a 6 in the number
and appears to be aimed at business men like the 6310 etc.

Well it wouldnt be the first time. A 6310 works in a 6210 car kit does it
not?

Will you then explain why the 6310 fitted the same kit as the 6210 which
fitted the same kit as the 7110 which fitted the same kit as the 6150 which
fitted the same kt as the 6110 etc? According to you, none of this should
have happened.

My car kit installer said that it looks unlikely, when I asked him this
question a few weeks ago. Looks unlikely that it will just be a matter of
changing the cradle. The Car kit for the 6310 fitted several Nokia models
and it was as close as you get in the industry to being a standard.

The problem with the Bluetooth kits, as far as I can see, is that as they
stand they dont charge your phone as a traditional wired kit does.
