Im looking to get a new phone from O2 and have narrowed it down (I think!)
to either the T610 or the Panasonic G60. Ive read some very good reviews
about the T610 but Im worried about something which seems to be a recurring
theme in all of them - reception.

All the reviews seem to say that the reception isnt as good as other
phones. Can any T610 owners tell me how severe this actually is? Im
generally in good reception areas but at uni there are some blackspots
where reception is quite bad. I can usually get a signal on my 8310, so will
I notice much difference with the T610?

The G60 reviews Ive seen dont seem to be very complimentary about, it so
its looking like the T610 at the moment (the trade-in is also useful) but
Id like to hear from any G60 owners.

So is the T610 the phone I should be going with or are there any others
(same price range i.e. free!) around that are worth looking at?

Thanks

Dave

At home, signal strength is 29% - 1 or 2 bars. Call quality is fine.

My T610 does not hold a weak signal as well as my previous 8310 did. I
definately get more calls going to AP

Sony Ericssons response is very poor - PAY to send it to a 3rd party repair
co, who cannot be relied upon to repair properly according to others on
these forums

Its for this reason I probably wont buy another SE phone :-(

Otherwise the T610 is very good. The T630 does look like it may address
these problems
